Ultrasound Basics for Midwives – Midwifery Wisdom Experience Standalone Class

$895.00

Ultrasound Basics for Midwives – Midwifery Wisdom Experience Standalone Class
Standalone class at the Midwifery Wisdom Experience 2022 for 8 hours on Monday the 14th 8am to 12 and 1 to 5pm

Have a butterfly or pocket ultrasound? This course will help orientate your use of the POCUS transducer while performing non-diagnostic exams in the office. Here you will learn best practices on how to hold the transducer (leading edge, transverse/sagittal (long) planes), where to place transducer for each trimester, angling and toggling, normal anatomy and organs orientation on screen, capacity of equipment (setting for exams in 1st, 2nd, and 3rd trimester, M-mode, fetal heart sounds, measuring CRL, etc) and much more. Midwives, what you don’t know, just might be endangering you and your client. Additionally, radiology reports can be confusing, so let’s talk more about what the radiologist “might” mean in the diagnostic reports you receive. This course is not meant to fully train or certify midwives to become ultrasound technologists, but to help them learn how to use the medical equipment they are already using.

This is a hybrid class with online and live portions, participants must complete the online portion not more than 6 weeks from the live portion to be admitted to the live course. Open to all, no experience necessary, CEU’s and certificate of completion provided.

**All ticket purchases are final and non-refundable**

**An invitation to an online course for prerequisite work will available October 1, 2022 will be sent to you after registration and when the course is available.
