Welcome to this week’s episode of the Midwifery Wisdom podcast, where your co-host Augustine Colebrook is thrilled to be joined by a very special guest, Wanda Warrington. As a UK Midwife and the recipient of the prestigious Best Midwife of the Year award in 2022, Wanda’s dedication and passion for her work is nothing short of extraordinary.
Wanda’s commitment to helping pregnant women in need has taken her on eight separate trips to Ukraine, where she has provided essential supplies and resources to hospitals and assisted pregnant women crossing the Polish border in accessing the care they require. In this episode, she shares her experiences, including what motivated her to get involved, some of the most heartwarming moments she’s encountered, and how listeners can offer their support from afar.
For those interested in contributing to this worthy cause, whether through volunteering in Ukraine or by offering bookkeeping assistance, please reach out to Augustine at augustine@midwiferywisdom.com, and we’ll happily connect you with Wanda. Don’t miss out on this inspiring episode!
