Midwife Staff with Uplifting Women’s Wellness Uplifting Women’s Wellness is the first of many community centers across the United States. We have been working on a large-scale maternity care system reform that community-based midwifery and our greater healthcare system will work more integrally with each other so midwifery can become mainstream again. There are many aspects of our larger project to break down barriers that exist for midwifery to thrive. We are opening a midwifery school, creating a nationwide physician collaboration network, birth center coalition of national resources like educational trainers, accountants, billers, lawyers, marketers, business consultants, and financial planners. We will be completely changing our maternity care system and looking for great people to join our mission and vision. Uplifting Women’s Wellness is a brand-new clinic that will have services from many different alternative service lines including midwifery, chiropractics, acupuncture, massage therapy, infusion therapies, lactation consultants, doulas, educators, and pelvic floor therapists. The adjacent freestanding birth center is almost finished with construction and will start providing births to the area in January 2024. We will be the first accredited birth center in state of Michigan with this site closely working with our midwifery school to train the next generation of midwives for our future centers. Summary Oversees women’s health care including full scope maternity care at freestanding birthing center, women’s health clinic, newborn, and lactation services at Uplifting Women’s Wellness (UWW) in accordance with the guidelines of the American College of Nurse-Midwives, North American Registry of Midwives, the Commission for the Accreditation of Birth Centers, American College of Obstetricians and Gynegologists, and Michigan state regulations. Job Classification Uplifting Women’s Wellness, alternative friendly women’s health clinic where autonomous midwives have privileges at adjacent freestanding birth center, Farmington Birth Center, in Farmington, Michigan is looking for a Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) or Certified Professional Midwife (CPM) to join our team that has a STRONG background and passion for community based midwifery. This position works in a collaborative manner with other healthcare providers in a clinical environment and delivers at the women’s health clinic and birth center. We strive to provide comprehensive alternative friendly midwifery care to women in all stages of women’s health care needs including preconception, pregnancy, and beyond. The ideal candidate will be of a compassionate nature who enjoys working with women from diverse backgrounds from teenage years through menopause. Requires excellent communication skills and the ability to listen to clients with empathy and understanding. Our independent midwives will collaborate as needed with local hospitals and healthcare providers to provide optimal health outcomes. I am an NBDA trained Birth Doula and new Student Midwife in Rowlett, Texas looking to start my apprenticeship. Looking for a preceptor in the Dallas area who services the surrounding areas. I feel called into the community of Birth Workers to be able to serve & uplift: women of color, women of teen pregnancy, and same sex couples. While I currently have little to no Birth Experience, I have supported many women through their pregnancies for the last 2 years and I am eager to transition into the birthing space, to learn and grow within that environment and sector of care. I’m a fast visual & kinesthetic learner, and I am ready to jump in wherever I am needed. I heavily support holistic healthcare and hope to learn how to implement in the most beneficial ways within this field of work.
